The NFL released the 2002 pre-season schedule Tuesday, and with realignment taking place, the Commissioner's office had a role to play with the first three weeks of the pre-season.

Buffalo will play its first two pre-season games at home, as Cincinnati comes to Ralph Wilson Stadium sometime the weekend of August 8-12 (the exact dates have not been set yet), then Minnesota will come to Orchard Park the following weekend. Buffalo then visits old AFC East rival Indianapolis for Week 3 on August 22 to 26, and wraps up the pre-season by visiting the Detroit Lions.

Buffalo will play the expansion Houston Texans in Houston during the regular season.
